5 years anniversary of Cirko Criollo

Cirko Criollo is celebrating its 5 year anniversary and we are continuing our mission to create a clown society. This year we have shows suitable for all ages: The Pianist, Caterpillars, Punainen Viiva, The Flea Circus and our closing party in the center of Helsinki. In the last edition, we were imagining our future school of clown and comedy in Helsinki. This year, you can discover the different types of clowns in our exhibition of Clown Antropology. Do not miss our opening party with many surprises and the award for the Best Clown 2016.

We will continue our Clown and Comedy Research with the presentation of Paul Miller and The Institute of Social Circus & Vocational Training Center and the panel discussion about the meaning of laughter and comedy coordinated by anthropologist Marianna Keisalo. We have also expanded the training program with different workshops: Commedia dell’arte, Physical Comedy, Clowns from Asia, Grotesque Masks, Social Clown and others.

We are happy to continue having our headquarters in Caisa (Helsinki), but we have been extended our scope to Turku, Tampere and Kajaani. Thanks to all our cooperation partners and all the people involved in the Festival. Next year we want to focus in the field of social & popular clown. We want to create the first clown country in the world in Pasila, Helsinki (Finland). We need your help for our next party in 2017.
